Residential Project – Tower Townhouse

Updated 11/28/17 with new images and video

This was an unusual project for me. I initially created this back in 2013 and just this week revisited the design for the first time making many changes to improve the facade and circulation. This 5 floor brick single family townhouse seems to break all of the rules. I am not sure that I like it, but after the recent revision, the tower is growing on me. Features include 6 fireplaces, a lap pool, 3-car garage, porte-cochére, terraces off the breakfast room and master bedroom as well as very grand front to back living room. Given that the house spans 5 floors an elevator was also incorporated into the design as well. Each floor is devoted to a specific type of activity. Floor 1 has a wine bar to showcase the owner’s passion for wine. Spirits can be enjoyed in the bar or on the outdoor patio adjacent to it. Floor 2 is the dining floor, with a breakfast room, eat-in kitchen, formal dining room, and pantry. Floor 3 contains the living spaces (living room, study, ante-room) access stair to the pool, while the top 2 floors contain 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and the laundry.
