A building has many uses and many functions. Sometimes famous buildings/spaces are modified to host lavish spectacles such as fashion shows. In these instances the architecture takes on the role of a set piece, used to create a mood that the designer may be trying to convey through their clothing collection. Below are a few locations and sets used for Haute Couture fashion shows. In my mind the sets created to exhibit the clothing are sometimes more lavish and more interesting then the clothes themselves. These images show the limitless potential for creating interesting showcase spaces within existing buildings.
